Lumen Health Group

The field sales forcefor breakthroughhealthcare technology.

An experienced team already working inside health systems, now representing your product.

The problem

Where commercialization stalls.

Most early-stage companies reach the same set of obstacles on the way to their first health system contracts.

01

You have 510(k) clearance, but commercial traction is coming slower than planned.

02

Your board has asked for a commercial plan, and hiring direct reps is the only option on the table.

03

You have early pilots underway, but opportunities aren't moving as quickly as you'd like.

04

Clinical champions are interested, but proposals stall in value analysis.

05

Direct sales hires take months to ramp, and the cost runs from day one.

06

You're preparing to raise, and commercial validation is the open question.

What we do

Our team carries your product into healthcare, through accounts we already hold.

Our team has spent years inside health systems, and holds relationships with the clinicians, supply chain leaders, and committees that decide what gets brought in.

  • iSenior people on our team carrying your product into health systems they already know.
  • iiSupport getting through value analysis, where most early-stage products stall.
  • iiiIn-servicing and case coverage where the product needs a person in the room.
Our standard

Diligence comes first.

Every product clears a structured diligence process before our team carries it. Our standing in these accounts depends on what we bring through the door, so the review happens first and it ends in a written answer either way.

01

Value-based care alignment

The economics have to hold up under value-based care, delivering measurable value rather than shifting cost between line items.

02

A real clinical problem

The product addresses a problem that existing options don't adequately solve.

03

Evidence that matches the claim

Clinical validation appropriate to the intended use and the regulatory path.

04

Value for multiple stakeholders

It has to work for the patient, the clinician, and the operator responsible for the budget.

Leadership

The people who set the bar.

Diligence, clinical standards, and the relationships the company runs on sit with four people. The team who carries your product is a separate group, described below.

Anne Carter
Anne Carter
Founder

Spent nearly a decade in medical device sales at Stryker, among the leading reps in the Midwest for its Sage division — selling into the parts of the hospital that generate no revenue, where a deal has to be won on outcomes and total cost rather than a procedure code. She left to bring emerging technology to the same buyers. Her relationships run deep across the Midwest and nationally.

Brandon Bogdalek
Brandon Bogdalek
Co-Founder

Spent over a decade in medtech contract research, leading commercial organizations at Worrell through its sale to Veranex. He founded Boomtown Growth Partners and sold it to Mighty Networks in 2026. He now runs the healthcare and life sciences division at Mount Haley, a holding company investing in and incubating the service businesses that support the medtech ecosystem.

Christopher Tignanelli, MD
Christopher Tignanelli, MD

Trauma surgeon and Dean of Data Science and AI at the University of Minnesota, with more than 150 published papers. Chief Medical Officer at Biometrica Health. A founding member of Lumen’s clinical advisory board, he reads the evidence on every product Lumen considers.

Clinical Advisor, Nursing

A nurse executive whose career spans clinical practice, education, and system-level change. A founding member of Lumen’s clinical advisory board, she brings the frontline clinical perspective to diligence, testing what we carry against the questions nurses ask first: whether it solves a real clinical problem, whether it holds up under the realities of daily practice, and whether it serves the patient as well as the clinician delivering the care.

The field team
The team who carries your product
Assigned per engagement

Senior field people who built their careers at Medtronic, Stryker, Arthrex, and companies like them, and who hold the accounts they call on today. We name the team on your territory during diligence rather than on a website — the relationships are the asset, and they belong to the people who built them.
